We offer a wide range of new and refurbished used cars of the 25 most popular brands. Exactly which models we have in stock varies from day to day. If you don't find your favorite model on the website today, it may be available tomorrow.

Do you always have the latest car models in stock?

At Cardoen you will find a mix of new and refurbished used cars. Because we buy our new cars directly from various authorized suppliers throughout Europe, we can always offer you the latest car models of the most popular brands and in various versions. So with us, you will find a wider range than at the brand dealer around the corner and always at the lowest price.


Can I get an e-mail when a car is back in stock?

Yes, you can. Let us know via the contact form which makes and models you’d like to be kept informed about, and we’ll notify you as soon as they’re back in stock.


Is the quality of a Cardoen car the same as a brand dealer?

Yes, all our new cars come from the official brand manufacturers. The cars you buy from Cardoen come from the exact same assembly line as those you'll find at a brand dealer.

Our refurbished used cars are also of high quality. They go through an extensive evaluation before we put them up for sale. Any repairs are made, the cars are serviced and we take them to the inspection before we deliver them to you.

A refurbished used car comes with a one-year warranty, which you can extend to the tenth anniversary of your car.


Which showroom has the car I'm looking for?

The cars you find on the website are spread across the different Cardoen branches.

If you would like to take a closer look at a car, you can reserve it. A Cardoen team member will then contact you to let you know where the car is located so you can go and view it.

I saw a car in a Cardoen showroom, but can't find it on the website. What now?

If you do not yet find the car on the website, you have probably discovered a brand new acquisition. This car will be on the website soon. Want to know more about it already? Contact your local Cardoen branch or just ask on the spot.


What does it mean when a car is marked "reserved" on the website?

If a car is marked as “reserved,” it means someone has placed an option on it through the website. The car will then be reserved for that customer for 3 days. If they decide not to purchase it, the car will become available on the website again after those 3 days.

The stock on the website is updated every hour.

Why do some cars say “photo coming soon”?

If you see “photo coming soon” on a car listing, it means the car has already arrived and been inspected, but we haven’t had the chance to take pictures yet. You can still go ahead and reserve the car if you're interested.


I'm looking for a car with specific features and can't find that information on your website. What now?

On our website you will find basic information about our cars. Sometimes you are looking for something very specific, such as a flat loading floor, 6 seats, 4-wheel drive, etc..

Can I add extra options to the car?

Yes, when buying a car you have the possibility to have extra options installed. The salesperson will check with you which options are possible for your chosen car.


Am I obligated to buy the car if I reserve it?

No, there is absolutely no obligation to buy the car. You have 3 days to decide whether or not to purchase the car. If you don't buy the car, the deposit from the reservation is refunded. So you don't run any risk by taking an option.


How can I reserve a car online?

When you view the details of a car, you will see a "reserve" button. Click it and fill in your contact information. Choose in which Cardoen branch you want to view the car. Pay a 250 euro deposit online with our secure payment tool to complete the reservation.

You will receive a confirmation email immediately afterwards, so you can be sure that everything went well. Within 24 hours, a representative will contact you to schedule an appointment.


How can I cancel a reservation?

To cancel your reservation within 3 days, it's best to contact your local Cardoen branch or email teleteam@cardoen.be. They will make sure your deposit is refunded.

If you make a reservation and we haven’t heard from you after 3 days, the deposit will also be refunded within 30 days.


When will you refund the 250 euros of my reservation?

We refund it within 30 days after you let us know you don't want to buy the car. If you make a reservation and we have not heard from you after 3 days, we will also refund the deposit within 30 days.


What are the steps to buying a car from Cardoen?

  1. Reserve the car you want to buy. Together we agree on a time when you can come to the Cardoen branch of your choice, if you want to see the car first. You can also buy the car completely online.
  2. Let us know if you are turning in your current car. Then we'll calculate your takeover premium and you'll get a nice discount on your next car.
  3. Decide if you need any extras, for example financing, insurance, a maintenance contract, Cardoen Lease, extended warranty or modifications to your car's equipment.
  4. Sign the sales agreement and pay a deposit. Together we determine the amount of your deposit.
  5. Pay for the rest of your car. We put all the paperwork in order in the meantime.
  6. The paperwork is sent to you digitally. One of the documents you receive is the application for registration. You need it to insure and register your car.
  7. Get your insurance and vehicle registration in order. Normally you will receive the license plates 48 hours after your application at the latest. If you take out insurance with Cardoen, we will take care of your registration and you can skip this step.
  8. Pick up your car at the agreed time or have it delivered to your home. Allow about an hour for this, as we take care of the last bit of paperwork and explain how your new car works. If you had your license plates delivered at your home, bring them to your appointment. We'll install them so you can hit the road legally.

How is buying from Cardoen different from buying from an individual?

Usually, you don't get a warranty on the purchase from a private individual. That means you have to trust the salesperson and believe everything they tell you about the car is true.

At Cardoen you do get a warranty and you can even extend your warranty to 10 years. That gives a lot more peace of mind. Check the car details to find out how much warranty you get on this car.

Can I buy a car from Cardoen as a foreigner?

Yes, everyone is welcome at Cardoen. If you need help exporting your car, we can recommend several export companies. Contact us if you want more information about this.


Do you give additional discounts on the price shown?

Cardoen works with the lowest price guarantee as standard. Every week we compare our prices with identical cars from authorized brand distributors in Belgium. So the price you see is already the lowest on the market. That's why we don't give an extra discount.

Look carefully at the engine, equipment and execution, because they must be exactly the same. Can you send us proof of the price and show that it is from an authorized dealer? Then we will immediately adjust our price and you will receive an additional € 150 benefit.


How much tax do I have to pay for my car?

On the detail page of each car, you will find a handy tool at the bottom to calculate your taxes. The tool automatically includes the characteristics of the car in the calculation, you only need to fill in your own data.


Why is a new car cheaper at Cardoen than at the dealer?

With us you will find brand new cars at the lowest price. That's because we don't work with one fixed supplier. We have several contacts throughout Europe for all our brands and buy from the most advantageous supplier. Moreover, we always order several cars at once, which makes the rate even better. And we pass on that advantage to our customers.

In addition, at Cardoen you won't find a designer showroom and expensive brochures, but rather a simple showroom and sober, clear information sheets. With that kind of savings, we keep our costs low and can make our customers happy with the most advantageous new and refurbished used cars.


How does Cardoen's lowest price guarantee work?

Cardoen guarantees you the lowest price on every new car in stock. Every week we compare our cars with identical cars at other authorized car dealers. If they are cheaper, we immediately adjust our price.

If you find the same car cheaper somewhere else, you get the difference refunded plus an extra discount.

This is how it works:

  • It is the same car: the same engine, options and equipment.
  • You provide us with publicly available proof from an official brand dealer. For example, a flyer, leaflet or link to an internet ad. A handwritten document does not count as proof.
  • We immediately adjust our price and you get an additional 150 euros discount.
  • If you have already bought your new car from us, we will refund you the difference and you will get 150 euros extra discount even before your car is delivered.

Can I finance my car through Cardoen?

For financing, we always start from your personal situation. In a conversation, we see if you qualify. If that is the case, we will start the procedure with the bank, which will ultimately decide whether or not to grant you financing.

When you visit your Cardoen branch, you don't need an appointment to discuss possible financing. We will help you immediately in the showroom.

How does a Cardoen Lease work?

Cardoen Lease is our leasing formula. You can compare this formula with a classic lease, although it doesn't work exactly the same.

A Cardoen Lease runs over a predetermined period. At the end of that period, we guarantee you 35% value of your car. Therefore, during the lease period, you only have to pay off 65% of the value of your car and the amount is lower than with conventional financing.

At the end of the contract, you have 3 options:

  1. You choose a new car at Cardoen
  2. You keep your car and pay the 35% residual value
  3. You hand in your car and stop paying

Good to know: maintenance and repairs are included in your monthly amount and because you are the owner of your car from the beginning, you don't pay the vehicle registration tax (DIV) a second time when you take over the car at the end of the lease.


How much can I borrow for my car?

How much you can borrow depends on your personal situation and is determined by the bank. In general, you cannot borrow more than 33% of your annual income. For this, the bank looks at your income, minus your monthly expenses. What remains is your available budget. If you have other loans outstanding, that may affect the amount you are allowed to borrow.

When you come to Cardoen to discuss financing, we can make a rough calculation to see what a realistic budget is and whether you can use it to pay for the car of your choice.


What is the difference between Cardoen Finance and Cardoen Lease?

Cardoen Lease is our leasing formula. You can compare this formula with classic leasing, although the operation is not quite the same. You can read all the details here.

You pay an advance and a fixed amount each month. This monthly amount is lower than with classic financing. All costs for repairs and maintenance are included, you only have to take care of the insurance yourself. Cardoen Lease is available for new and almost-new cars.

Cardoen Finance is a classic car financing, where you pay off a monthly amount. Repairs, maintenance and insurance are not included in your monthly contribution. You can take out Cardoen financing for all cars, new and used.


What is the difference between a new and almost-new car?

A new car normally has 0 kilometers on the odometer. It may have a few dozen miles on it due to, for example, moving the car to another dealership. An almost-new car has few kilometers on the odometer. On average, about 15,000. These cars are as good as new, but are priced much lower.


How does Cardoen select its almost-new cars? What conditions must a car meet to qualify as "almost-new"?

We screen all our "almost-new" cars for a whole list of conditions before we offer them for sale. They must always meet at least these conditions:

  1. Be completely accident-free
  2. Have less than 30,000 km on the odometer
  3. Be maximum 3 years old
  4. Have gasoline as fuel

Often our almost-new cars have a lot less kilometers on the counter. About 15,000 km on average.


Why should I buy an almost-new car?

Almost-new cars are priced a lot lower than new cars. Plus, they have a number of advantages over older used cars:

  1. Excellent value for money
  2. No drastic depreciation
  3. Always 1-year warranty, with optional maintenance contract available
  4. Better for the environment
  5. Newer options usually already included (e.g. Apple Car Play)

Why should I buy a new car?

A new car has a whole range of benefits:

  1. The most up-to-date in terms of safety and technology
  2. More environmentally friendly and economical than older similar cars
  3. Furnished the way you want
  4. No traces of use from a previous owner
  5. Includes factory warranty
  6. Less likely to need maintenance or repairs

In return, of course, you pay a higher price and sometimes have to wait longer than if you buy a refurbished used car.


How soon can I pick up my car after I have bought it?

On average, you should count about 2 to 3 weeks before your car is ready. This depends on several factors, for example whether you want extra options in your car, you've applied for financing and/or you want to insure the car with Cardoen.

Do you want fast delivery? If you insure and finance your car with us, we can handle everything quickly. At the time we complete the sale, we have all the info to give you a concrete estimate for the car you just bought.


Can I come pick up my new car during the weekend?

You can only pick up your car during the week and by appointment only. This is because we want to make sure everything is tip-top and we have enough time to receive you and explain how your new car works.

Pickup is possible from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 7pm.


What is the BIV / vehicle registration tax?

The vehicle registration tax is a one-time tax you have to pay when you put a car into service. Every new owner must pay it, so the tax also applies to used cars.

Cars that are fully electric can enjoy an exemption from the registration tax.


What is the driving tax/traffic tax and why does it differ in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia?

The road tax is an annual vehicle tax for using public roads. It’s a regional tax, meaning that Flanders, Wallonia, and the Brussels-Capital Region each determine their own rates. As a result, the amounts can vary. On each car’s detail page, you’ll find a handy tool to calculate the exact tax for your situation.

Since 2016, Flanders uses a calculation method that favors greener vehicles. It’s based on the car’s power, CO2 emissions, Euro standard, and fuel type. This approach encourages the use of more fuel-efficient and less polluting cars. When you buy a new or nearly new car from Cardoen, you’re almost always choosing an energy-efficient model with a favorable tax rate.

Fully electric cars are eligible for an exemption from the annual road tax.


Can I recover VAT if I buy a used car from Cardoen?

This depends on the specific car you want to buy and where we purchased it.

If we bought the car from another company that is liable for VAT, the normal VAT rules apply.

If we bought the car from a company that is not liable for VAT or from a private person, the VAT will not appear on your invoice and you can't recover it.

Which cars are 100% tax deductible?

Currently, only fully electric cars are 100% tax deductible. The financing cost (interest) of your company vehicle is also 100% tax deductible. You can find our range of electric cars here:

Please note that for all other types of cars, the rules of deductibility have changed on July 1, 2023. Since July 1, 2023, owning a combustion engine car – including hybrids – has become less tax-attractive each year. The new rules do not apply to cars purchased before June 30, 2023. So, no matter which model you're considering, now is the best time to buy. Whether you choose an electric vehicle or another type of car, you'll still benefit from the most favorable tax conditions.


Do I get a fleet discount at Cardoen?

No, we do not have any specific fleet discounts. After all, at Cardoen we guarantee the lowest price for everyone, including you as a self-employed person.


As a newly started self-employed person, can I buy a car from you?

Yes, of course you can. Everyone is welcome. If you have a company number, you can come to us as a business customer.
