How do you determine the trade-in value of my current car?

The trade-in value depends on several factors. The most important ones are the make and model, the car’s age, and the mileage.

For a car you can still drive to your nearest Cardoen branch yourself, you’ll receive a minimum trade-in bonus of €1,000. If we need to pick up the car, we offer a recycling bonus of €500, excluding pickup costs.

We guarantee that you’ll always get the best trade-in offer with us. If you receive a better offer elsewhere, let us know and we’ll increase our bid.

I’m requesting an estimate for my car

I want a free estimate on my current car. What should I do?

Go to "sell your car" and fill out the form as completely as possible. The more information we have, the better we can estimate the real market value of your car. We'll send you an answer within 1 business day.

What if I can get a better price for my current car elsewhere?

We guarantee that you will get at least the market price for your current car. If you get a better offer elsewhere, let us know and we'll adjust our offer accordingly. Only an official offer from a professional dealer counts as proof.

Does Cardoen buy any used car?

You always get a premium for your current car when you buy a new one from Cardoen.

To get a takeover premium, your car must meet the following conditions:

  • You must have a valid inspection certificate for the car
  • No fault lights must be on
  • The documentation of the car is complete
  • The car is in a good enough condition to drive it to Cardoen

What if your car doesn't meet these conditions? You can still get a recycling premium of € 500, excluding any collection costs.

Do you buy cars from someone that doesn't purchase a new car from Cardoen?

If you don't buy a new car from Cardoen, we can still buy your car, if it meets the following conditions:

  • You must have a valid inspection certificate for the car
  • No fault lights must be on
  • The documentation of the car is complete
  • The car is in a good enough condition to drive it to Cardoen
  • The car is less than 7 years old
  • There is less than 100,000 km on the odometer.

Does Cardoen also take over a car that is no longer running?

If you purchase a new car from Cardoen and your current car is no longer running, you will still receive a recycling premium of €500 excluding any collection costs.

Can I trade in a car registered abroad (not in Belgium)?

No, you can only trade in cars with Belgian license plates.
